Principals of various schools discussed about academic set up

In an effort to help each other as academicians, an interactive session with various Principals of schools was organised at PCTE Group of Institutes. 15 Principals of various schools namely KVM, DAV – BRS Nagar, Partap Public School, BCM – Shastri Nagar, BCM – Dugri, BCM – Chandigarh Road, Sat Paul Mittal School, GNIPS, Meritorious School – Rose Garden and few others were present on the occasion.

The session started with a welcome speech by Dr. Vandana Shahi, Principal, BCM Sr. Sec. School – Dugri. Followed by a session by Ms. Harpreet Kaur Kang, Dean International Affairs, PCTE. Ms. Kang, the resource person kept the audience engaged and enthused in a session that lasted more than 6 hours. Ms. Kang dealt at length with Fine Dine Etiquette and protocols, and gave the delegates much to admire from. It was followed by a sumptuous lunch in Indian Angeethi (an In-house restaurant) of PCTE that made them literally put into practice what they had learnt.

The second half of the session saw principals deliberating on educational practices prevalent in leading schools. Interspersed with personal anecdotes, the session proved enriching and ennobling. Principals of various schools discussed issues such as understanding child psychology, relationship between student, parent and a teacher. The session focused on finding gaps in these relations and how to plug those gaps to make a better future of the students. The session ended on a high note by a thanks giving speech by Mr. Gurshminder Singh Jagpal, Principal, Partap Public School.

Dr. KNS Kang, Director General, PCTE Group of Institutes said, “Well, we felt that such sessions are need of the hour as it includes highly intellectual people, sitting under one roof and having fruitful talks on various academic issues. These talks enhance one’s power of thinking and analyzing of education system and end on positive notes with effective ways of overcoming the loopholes.”
