Around 50 foreign students of final year competed with each other in football matches

Celebrating their last moments of togetherness, the international students (final year) from different countries, kicked off their reunion celebration with football matches here at campus today. They categorized their teams into both girls and boys and competed with each other.

The classes that participated in girls team were from Management Department (BBA and B.Com) and IT department, whereas, the classes that participated in boys team were from Management Department and IT department along with rest of the departments like Pharmacy etc. More than 50 international students showcased their football moves and tricks. In the match of girls, Management students won the match and amongst boys IT students bagged the trophy.

One of the international students and organizer Ansuman expressed, “Well, we thought of celebrating last moments with our friends in a different way. So we started this two day event with football matches and students who are passing out enjoyed a lot. The winning teams were honoured with medals and certificates as token of remembrance.”

Dr. KNS Kang, Director General, PCTE said, “We always try to provide homely atmosphere to all international students studying here in our campus. Students from 39 different countries are currently studying here and we never made them feel separate from us. As they are moving ahead and are entering into their professional lives soon, we allowed them to celebrate their last moments in the way they want to. The football matches that they have played were full of excitement and emotions.”
