NSS unit of Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management organised a Skill Development Workshop for the NSS Volunteers attended by the faculty members and students of the College. All the arrangements for the workshop were done well in advance under the guidance of Prof Meenu Goyal and Prof Jai Parkash by the student volunteers Himanshu Garg, Mehak, Shagun, Ishpreet, Jinesha, Hetna, Chahat, and Abheeti.
Ms. Shanu Sharma, a self made women entrepreneur and renowned choclate making artist from Ludhiana was the resource person. She explained the participants the importance of learning the skills and its value in life. She asked the participants to take self employment as their career. Prof Meenu Goyal told that Ms Shanu prepared 18 types of chocolates that can be used for different occassions and for different type of consumers.
Brigadier H S Bhandal, Director Education and Dr R L Behl, Principal appreciated the NSS Team and all volunteers. Prof Jai Parkash thanked Ms. Shanu Sharma for taking time to interact with the volunteers and explaining them the chocolate making skills. Brigadier H S Bhandal, Director Education and Dr R L Behl, Principal further said that the College is a Commerce and Management College so such activities are a regular feature. Also students are encouraged to learn skills that are useful for practical life after their studies complete.
