Veteran actor Shashi Kapoor has passed away at 79. The man who entertained us for decades breathed his last in Mumbai today. It definitely comes as a big shocker for the film industry and fans alike
The actor had been ailing for a while. Born in 1938, he is survived by three kids Karan Kapoor, Kunal Kapoor, and Sanjana Kapoor. Kapoor had suffered from a chest infection in 2014. Prior to that, he had also undergone a chest surgery.
Known for his work in films like Deewar, Satyam Shivam Sundaram and Kabhie Kabhie, the 79-year-old was hardly in the limelight since the late 90s.
He has over 160 movies to his credit and had also won three National Awards. He was also bestowed with the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award in 2010.
