PCTE ORGANIZED ITS 10th ANNUAL CONVOCATION

16th December, 2017: PCTE Group of Institutes organized its 10th Annual Convocation function at PCTE Campus – II. About 500 graduates were awarded their degrees in various disciplines like MBA, MBA-IB, PGDM, MCA, M Pharmacy, B Pharmacy, B.Sc Biotechnology, BBA, B.Com Prof., BCA, BHMCT and ATHM Keeping in mind the significant presence of the international students on campus, there was a representation of students from 50 countries including India with their respective flags. General Bikram Singh, Ex Army Chief was the chief guest of the function.

Outstanding students were awarded trophies, college colors and degrees for excellence in academics. Awards such as “Most Outstanding Student of the College”, among others, were awarded. As PCTE is an institution which focuses on the overall development of its students, and recognizes the extra-curricular activities and sports, awards for these were awarded as well

“Ek Noor Sewa Kendra” and Mr. Gurpreet Singh of the NGO- “Manukhta Di Sewa” were awarded for working for the service of people in pain and sufferings in the society.

Ami Verma a student of the founder batch of 1999-2001 of MBA was rewarded as “The Best Alumni Award” for his outstanding professional and personal success. Tafadzwa Gonera a student of MBA batch 2015-17 was awarded Wg.Cdr.H.S.Gill award. He said, “I am happy to receive this prestigious award after completion of my course. He added by saying “It is a defining moment in every student’s life giving his self-esteem a boost”

Juhi Khanna, a student said, “The convocation is one of the most important days in a student’s life, and we are so happy after receiving our degrees. The campus atmosphere was very festive today, and it was amazing celebrating this momentous day with my batch-mates and my family.”

General Bikram Singh, Ex Army Chief said that it was heartening to see young, vibrant faces; enthusiastic to start a new chapter in their life, and it was a pleasure to be a part of this momentous day. He motivated the graduates by saying it is necessary to have a professional attitude to become successful. General Bikram Singh added by saying that he could see the smile and spark in the eyes of the students when they came to collect their degree which showed the confidence in the students whereby the efforts of the college could be seen to develop the interpersonal skills of the students.

Dr. K.N.S Kang, Director General, PCTE Group of Institutes said he was glad that the graduation ceremony went off well. He congratulated the graduates on the completion of their education, and wished them luck for their future endeavors.
