RESCUED FROM CONFINEMENT, MINOR TO LIVE IN CHILDREN HOME

  • DISTRICT AND SESSIONS JUDGE APPEALS PEOPLE TO INFORM DLSA ABOUT SUCH CASES
LUDHIANA, April 12 (CNI): A woman and her child who were rescued by District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) a few days back from the confinement for nearly one year at house in CRPF quarters in Dugri,  the minor was shifted to Swami Ganga Nand Bhuri Wale Children Home, Talwandi Khurd on Thursday.
 
The child namely Shiv Kumar would live in the children home till her mother Sudha does not get fully recovered from illness, who is undergoing treatment at a civil hospital. 
 
The whole exercise was completed into the presence of District and Sessions Judge-cum-DLSA Chairman Gurbir Singh and CJM-cum-DLSA secretary Gurpreet Kaur. 
 
It is pertinent to mention here that DLSA team led by CJM-cum-DLSA secretary Gurpreet Kaur had rescued a mother and her son from confinement after receiving the information on April 5. 
 
The woman had got mentally disturbed due to confinement in the flat while her son was also in need of immediate treatment. After rescuing them, the woman was admitted to civil hospital while the son was shifted to private hospital. 
 
Today, Shiv was discharged from the private hospital while his mother needs a long treatment. 
 
District and Sessions Judge-cum-DLSA Chairman Gurbir Singh and CJM-cum-DLSA secretary Gurpreet Kaur appealed the people and media to inform DLSA or district administration immediately whenever they notice such cases to help them as soon as possible. 
 
On the occasion, foundation president Jasbir Kaur and secretary Kuldeep Singh assured that best facilities and counseling would be done.
