PAMETI offers Diploma in Agricultural Extension Services for Input Dealers

Ludhiana:Punjab Agricultural Management & Extension Training Institute (PAMETI), PAU campus, Ludhiana is commencing One-year Diploma in Agricultural Extension Services for Input Dealers (DAESI) sponsored by Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, Govt. of India under the guidance of National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE), Hyderabad.

Dr H S Dhaliwal, Director PAMETI while explaining the objective of this diploma said that DAESI is meant for imparting practical and location-specific agricultural knowledge to agricultural input dealers so as to enable them to help and address day to day problems being faced by the farmers at field level.

He further informed that the course is for all the practising agricultural input dealers or any fresh candidates who want to pursue in agricultural inputs business, have passed X standard exam and to candidates sponsored by the input agencies/agribusiness companies/agri-cooperatives from Ludhiana and any other district within 40 kms radius from PAU.

Dr R K Kalra, Facilitator (DAESI), Ludhiana said that there are total 40 seats available for the course. Diploma would be of 48 weeks duration with both classroom sessions and field visits and would be conducted only on Sundays and public holidays. She said that the course fee is subsidized by the Central Government and it is Rs. 10,000/- per practicing input dealer and Rs. 20,000/- for fresh candidates payable at the time of admission. Applications duly completed in the prescribed format (Performa attached) must reach the Office of Director PAMETI, PAU Campus, Ludhiana on or before 30th July 2018.
