Due to his keen love for the environment, a  progressive farmer of village Galib Khurd never burns
paddy straw remains after harvesting in the fields. Matriculation pass Jaspreet Singh is not only strengthening his economy but also has become the lighthouse for other farmers.

He said that he is nature and environment lover. Due to that he did not want to burn straw. Then he contacted Punjab Agricultural University and started the use of happy seeder. He got the bumper crop in the fields by using happy seeder. From the day he is using happy seeder for sowing wheat and motivating other farmers for the same practice.
He said that he could get the good crop and save the environment by adopting this technique. Now he and his fellow farmers have purchased their own happy seeder machine. Jaspreet Singh has appealed to the farmers not to burn stubble in the fields as it is food for soil. He also motivates the farmers to come forward for adopting crop diversification. He said, “we have to
stop burning of stubble otherwise, due to our malpractices, our new generations would have to face many problems”.
