Ludhiana, January 6:
A meeting regarding Ayushman Bharat Sehat Bima Yojana was chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Mrs Amrit Singh was held today. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Medical Commissioner Dr Mahinder Singh, besides several other officials.
In district Ludhiana, there are 16 government and 50 private hospitals that are empaneled in this scheme. She informed that 3,95,836 golden cards have been made, which is the maximum in the state. She stated that 4,157 patients in government and 2,261 in private hospitals have got themselves admitted and treated free of cost. Under this scheme, every beneficiary family is entitled for a treatment of up to Rs 5 lakh annually under which cashless insurance is provided to them.
She said that the residents of district Ludhiana should avail this facility in large numbers and the eligible beneficiaries, can contact the nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) for getting their golden cards made or can contact any government hospital in case of any emergency. She informed that the eligible beneficiaries can also contact the Arogya Mitra in empanelled private and government hospitals or contact toll free number 104.
