FLO Ludhiana Collaborates with Ministry of Women & Child Welfare to Drive Meaningful Social Impact

FLO Ludhiana is deeply humbled and proud to have collaborated with the Ministry of Women and Child Welfare, Government of India, through the SRSF Foundation, to make a meaningful impact in the sphere of social welfare at a national level.

The Hon’ble Minister, Mrs. Savitri Thakur, lauded Ludhiana’s remarkable contributions, which included the provision of cycles, sewing machines, and exquisite couture clothes for the weddings of underprivileged sections. In addition, FLO Ludhiana Chapter members came together to contribute towards the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana (SSY) — a government-backed savings scheme launched under the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao initiative — furthering the mission of securing the future of girl children through education and marriage savings. These initiatives stand as a testament to FLO Ludhiana’s unwavering commitment to empowering communities and fostering positive social change.

The event opened with two powerful panel discussions:

🔹 Breaking Barriers: Women Driving Change in Media, Sports, Fashion & Public Life
Moderated by Alka Kapur (Educationist & Principal, Modern Public School), the panel featured distinguished speakers including Megha Prasad (Senior News Anchor & Editor, ABP News), Anjum Moudgil (Olympian & Arjuna Awardee, Shooting), Dolly Jain (Celebrity Saree Draper & Draping Artist), Sumitra Bal (Hon’ble MP), Swati Maliwal (Hon’ble MP & Former Chairperson, Delhi Commission for Women), and Tina Ahuja (Actor & Entrepreneur). The session highlighted women’s influence across diverse domains and their role in reshaping society.

🔹 Empowered Voices: Women Shaping Culture, Law & Leadership
Moderated by Sonali Jain (Entrepreneur & Social Activist), the second panel brought together eminent personalities including Jai Madaan (Astrologer & Life Coach), Jaspinder Narula (Playback Singer), Rimple Narula (Fashion Designer), Priya Hingorani (Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India), and Kavita Patidar (Hon’ble MP). The dialogue offered thought-provoking insights into the evolving roles of women in culture, law, and leadership.

The event concluded with an awards ceremony, where SRS Foundation honored accomplished women across various categories, celebrating their outstanding achievements and contributions to society.
