Agriculture Department tights noose around sellers of spurious pesticides and fertilizers

Ludhiana, July 21- Following the directions of Tandarust Punjab Mission director Mr Kahan Singh Pannu and Director Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department Mr
Swatantra Kumar Aeri, a team of Agriculture Department on Sunday seized
spurious fertilizer from a center in Bharowal village of the district.
The team including Agriculture Officer Dr Nirmal Singh, Dr Kirpal Singh, Dr Sahib Ahmed, Dr Vikrant, Dr Sherajit Singh and Dr Jaskirat Singh raided in a Kisan Center in Bharowal and seized spurious fertilizer Zinc Sulphate 33 from there.
The sample of seized fertilizer have been sent for examination and entire stock has been seized.
Chief Agriculture Officer Dr Baldev Singh said that the deputy commissioner Mr Pradeep Agrawal has been informed about the seizure and legal proceedings have been initiated against such dealer.
He said that any one can complain about the such activities on 84373-12288 and strong action will be taken against the guilty.
