BCM ARYA CELEBRATES THE SPIRIT OF SPORTSMANSHIP

 The school ground of BCM Arya Model Sr. Sec. School was abuzz with great mirth, verve and camaraderie as the three day long Annual Athletic Meet of Kindergarten and Primary witnessed a grand Opening Ceremony on 16th November. During these three days circumstance, more than 3400 students from Nursery to class 5 will showcase their inexhaustible agility, strength, technique and stamina by competing in about 80 different track events with the motto “FIGHT FOR FITNESS”.

The school Principal, Ms. Anuja Kaushal welcomed the gathering and said that sports need to be an integral part of our life in this era of digitalization. She appreciated the ardent contribution of all the students and further quantified the motto of the meet that fitness is important for students’ mental, physical and emotional wellbeing.

The ceremonious Torch Lighting by the state level players of KG and Primary wing along with physical education instructors heralded a propitious start to the meet. The mellifluous singing by the school choir “Musical Ensemble” lifted the spirit of celebration. The breath-taking gymnastics cum skating performance by the students set the tone for the day. This was entailed by the prismatic and well synchronized March Past on various themes viz. Discipline, Healthiness, Dexterity etc. followed by spectacular and embellishing field display on the theme  “Symphony of colours” by  the students of class 5th. The Chief Guest, Sh. Ravinder Singh (District Sports Officer) declared the meet open and released the colourful balloons symbolizing the triumph and enthusiasm of the budding sports stars.

The school President, Sh. Suresh Munjal ji, blessed the budding athletes and encouraged them to participate in all events with true sportsmanship.

On this occasion, the Director, Arya Samaj Group of Schools Dr. Paramjit Kaur emphasized that the sports and physical activities provide a great opportunity for the children to head outside, become active and learn the major life skills like self-discipline, teamwork and cooperation which cannot be learned in the four walls of class rooms.

The zealous parents applauded the efforts of the school for rendering such opportunities to the students.
