The teachers of Group of Green Land Schools rejoiced a day by feasting and merry making in the Sh. Ram Labhaya Rudhra Auditorium at Green Land Sr. Sec. Public School Jalandhar Bye Pass Ludhiana. A cultural programme was organized in honour of teachers in which teachers performed on various melodious tunes. The Chief Guest Dr. Rajesh Rudhra, the Chairman of the school along with Gen. Secretary Mrs. Usha Rudhra, President, Dr. Shabad Rudhra, Dr. Vijayata Rudhra were accorded a warm welcome by Principals Mrs. Baldeep Pandher,Mrs. Vinita Sanan, Dr. Jyoti Pujara, Mrs.Ritu, Mrs. Aruna Kapila and the teachers of the school. The programme started with performance by the choir of Green Land in which the students dedicated songs to their teachers. The teachers seemed to be savouring the gala time. They looked exuberant while enjoying together.
The students of the Chain of Green Land Schools presented flowers to the Chairman cum Director Dr. Rajesh Rudhra, to congratulate him on Teachers’ Day and to express their gratitude. The Guest of Honour Mrs. Neelam Dawar enthralled the teachers with her melodious voice.
The Chairman cum Director of the Chain of Green Land schools, Dr. Rajesh Rudhra paid his obeisance to his Guru and Saviour Sant Kirpal Singh Ji Maharaj and then his first Guru, his father Late Shri Ram Labhaya Rudhra, who was an epitome of honesty, dedication, truthfulness and righteousness. He also paid regards to Dr. Saravepalli Radha Krishnan. Addressing the teachers, Dr. Rajesh Rudhra said that a teacher must be honestly dedicated towards his/her duty to educate the children. He also said that teacher should have passion to teach and build the future of nation. Adding to this he said that the teacher must possess God like qualities and she should inspire her pupils.
Giving the message from the quote of Swami Vivekanand and Dr. Abdul Kalam, he extended the message of ‘being a great teacher’. He exhorted teachers to motivate the students with the qualities of great learning, selfless service, dedication and hardwork. On this auspicious day, he honoured Mrs. Neelam Dawar and the dedicated teachers of the Chain of Green Land Schools- From Green Land Convent School, Civil City-Ms. Sonia and Ms.Rupali, From Green Land Convent School New Subhash Nagar-Ms. Deepali and Ms.Tania , from Green Land Convent School, Chd Road-Ms. Kiran, Ms. Charu, Ms. Archna, Ms. Meenakshi and Ms.Geeta from Green Land Convent School, Dugri- Ms. Loveleen and Ms. Deepa and From Green Land Sr. Sec. Public School, Jalandhar Bye Pass- Mr. P.K. Ahmad , S. Jaswinder Singh, Ms. Naresh Bala, Ms. Amika Mahajan, Ms.Paramjeet Kaur, Ms.Alka Sharma, Ms.Renu Kapoor, Ms.Reepa, Ms.Manju Bhatia , Ms.Kuldip Sharma, Ms.Monika and Ms.Sangeeta Bajaj with momentos and cash prizes. He also honoured Samriti Rudhra ex-student of the school for topping the Law course in the University of England.
The President, Mr. Shabad Rudhra, also extended his wishes to all the teachers and praised his father and mother for being his first Guru who taught him the values and ways of life.

They gave the message to be an ardent learner as life is a never ending journey for learning.
