Sh. Upkar Singh Ahuja, President, CICU in a statement said that the Water is a precious resource that nature has bestowed on Planet Earth and need of hours. Three-fourth of Earth’s surface is covered by water bodies and 97% of this water is present in oceans as salt water and is unfit for human consumption and only 3% of fresh water is available and fit for human use, which is available upto 800m in underneath and going deeply day by day.
CICU Executive Committee decided to devote the year to Save Water in Industry as well as in domestic use. CICU intend to celebrate World Environment Day by saving water in many ways. All the members took pledge for saving water as well as to save Environment and also gave various suggestions on it.
Rain Harvesting , Recycling of water use in Industries, Use of Less water In Industry, Rationing of water, use of foam type taps with less water, Kitchen water for gardening, Turn, Eco friendly Car cleaning ,use of toilets with less or no water use.
CICU has Formed a high level committee of Environment Protection as well.
Sh. Pankaj Sharma, General Secretary, CICU said that we got a lot of rainfall yearly and yet we do not have water much in the ground. We need to save rainfall water by doing rain harvesting. He further said that our motto be “Save water, save life, save the world”.
