Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has been actively engaging with the Government of Punjab and Ludhiana Administration by undertaking many CSR Initiatives. In the wake of increasing number of accidents which happen during winters when the visibility levels are very poor and also due to less awareness regarding traffic guidelines among masses, it has become imperative to create awareness among natives on Road Safety.
CII today reached out to its Industry members and organised an Eye Check-Up camp and Awareness Session on Road Safety at their working places of Madhur Knit Crafts Pvt Ltd., and Sukartik Clothing Pvt Ltd. The Punjab Police Traffic Educational Cell and Shankra Hospital played a vital role in this CSR activity. Members applauded the gesture of reaching out in this CSR initiative especially for the manufacturing industries where workers are unaware as to how to protect their eyes from dust and infection.
More than 100 persons were examined during the eye check-up camp.
