Ludhiana 17 September Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) organized an interactive virtual session on Industry and Public Concerns with Ludhiana District Administration today, wherein MrVarinder Kumar Sharma, Deputy Commissioner – Ludhiana, Mr. Rakesh Agrawal, Commissioner of Police – Ludhiana, Mr. Rajesh Bagga, Chief Medical Officer – Ludhiana and Mr. Mahesh Khanna, GM –DIC Ludhiana addressed the queries and issues related to industry and citizens of Ludhiana. The objective for today’s interaction was to highlight some of the industry & civic issues pertaining to COVID Lockdown Guidelines, Traffic Management, Workers’ Safety, Law &Order, Public Transport, Civic & Industrial Infrastructure.
During this session, MrVarinderKumar Sharma – Deputy Commissioner, apprised the industry members to give support to the administration by following COVID guidelines and assured that the industry would not be locked if any corona patient is found during the test being done by the administration. Nodal officers have been deputed to resolve all the day to day industrial issues also. Mr. Rakesh Agrawal, Commissioner of Policeapprised the participants that Law & order is under control as compared to other countries regarding COVID guidelines. Mr. Agrawal also assured that the Police department is always committed and ready for support 24/7 and also thanked CII for active support and donations for the benefit of the society.
Mr. Rajesh Bagga, Chief Medical Officer highlighted the precautions and guidelines for Corona patients and others. Mr. Bagga also informed that corona tests are being done by the Govt so the public should not hide or be afraid about the infections to make their family members safe.
Mr. Rahul Ahuja, Chairman – CII Punjab State, and Mr. Amit Juneja, Chairman – CII Ludhiana Zone gave suggestions to the administration to depute PCR and make PCR Halts regarding workers safety. They also said that the Police department should be more vigilant regarding roadside Khokhas where illegal substances may be sold by some anti-social persons. Besides, it was also put into the notice of administration regarding the shortage of oxygen cylinders in the Ludhiana district for industrial use.
