Ludhiana Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has been actively engaging with Government of Punjab and Ludhiana Administration by undertaking many CSR Initiatives. Eyes play a vital role in our day to day lives and are perhaps the most precious gift we have. It can become embarrassing if we fail to recognize a person or traffic light colours due to lack of good vision and colour blindness. In wake of increasing number of accidents which happen during the night and in winters during fog when the visibility levels are very poor Therefore, CII is reaching out at its industry members by making available an eye specialist through Eye Check-Up camps at their working places through Sankra Hospital. In light to this, CII Ludhiana zone has organized an Eye Check – Up Camp in collaboration with Sankra Hospital at the premises of member companyKitty Industries Pvt Ltd on Tuesday, 4th December 2018. More than 450 persons have been benefited and the needy patients were given spectacles & medicines free of cost in this camp.
Mr Ramesh Mago, Managing Director, Kitty Industries Pvt Ltd and members, CII Ludhiana Zonal Council apprised that CII Ludhiana has taken a very good initiative especially for the manufacturing industries where workers don’t have much knowledge about how to protect their eyes from dust and infection. Under the CSR panel, this is a very noble step and we hope to do more such camps in the future.
