Well this is a question that is being asked by everybody because not many people know that Shah Rukh Khan is perhaps the only Bollywood actor who has two Phds against his name. Yes, Dr Shah Rukh Khan is the holder of two doctorates and all of them have been bestowed upon him as honorary degrees. He has received an honorary doctorate from the university of Edinburgh where he was presented with the degree for his outstanding work in the field of “Indian cinema, charity, philanthropy, humanitarianism and for being a global star.” He has also got a doctorate from the Maulana Azad National Urdu university for his extraordinary contribution in the promotion of Urdu language and culture through his films.
These are two doctorates that he holds. It is interesting to note that Shah Rukh Khan doesn’t not hold a masters degree yet! He went to St Columba’s School and earned his bachelor’s degree in Economics from Hansraj College in Delhi. He was recently presented with his graduation degree on February 17, 2016. He had not applied to take his degree certificate before. We guess he didn’t need it in the line of his work. It needs to be mentioned here that he was pursuing his Masters Degree in Mass Communications at Jamia Millia Islamia but soon left to make his career in Bollywood as an actor. It was a good decision we must say!
