CME on “What every Dr should know about Oncology” was organized
Ludhiana, 27th January, 2018 – Dr Raman Arora Medical oncologist Ludhiana,organized a Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme in Raikot. The topic of the CME was ‘, “What every Doctor should know about Oncology & Understanding how to co-manage the patients of cancer .
Raikot Drs welcome Dr Raman Arora. Dr. Raman said events would be regularly organized to educate doctors on latest research on Oncology.
Further he added that number of times when a patient referred to a cancer centre it is thought that everything will be taken care by the cancer centre. However as per the global guidelines these patients have to be managed by the cancer centre as well as by the referring Doctors of these patients because they are the family physician of the patient and also aware about the family of the patient from last few decades. Example – High Blood pressure, Diabetes, Depression and other comorbidities diseases.
More than 30 doctors were present on the occasion.Separate rounds of Interaction were held and a lot of queries like When the patient to be referred “When the patient to be referred ? Causes cancer? Importance of cancer awareness, Role of physician to aware the patient on early stage were resolved. The whole session was followed by question-answer round on oncology and patient care.
