-Foundation stone of Community center, Sports stadium and martyrs memorial laid
Ludhiana, August 16 (000)-Under the Income Tax social responsibility Activity, the Income Tax Department has decided to adopt village Nathowal of Ludhiana district. The IT department will take responsibility of development of Village and on Friday, the foundation stone of various projects was laid by Chief Commissioner of Income Tax Mr. B.K Jha. Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) will help in completing all the development projects.
During a programe organised at village Nathowal, BK Jha said that Income Tax Department is feeling proud to initiate development projects in village Nathowal from which around 18 persons have attained martyrs. Mr. BK Jha said that it becomes our responsibility to adopt and develop the village of martyrs.
BK Jha said that in village Nathowal, community hall, modernized sports ground and martyrs statues Memorial would be made. The statue of Kargil war martyr Surjit Singh would be installed in the village. The foundation laying ceremony was addressed by President of Gurdwara Dukhnivaran Sahib Pritpal Singh, Col. Puri, Col. Kuldeep Singh, Neeraj Satija, district Public Relations Officer Prabhdeep Singh Nathowal and retired Armymen Sewak Singh.
On this occasion, the Income Tax Department officials honored the family members of martyrs and medal winners from different fields. The Gram Panchayat of village also honored the prominent personalities. Prominent persons present during the occasion were Puneet Sachdeva, Alok Kumar, Rohit Mehra, Manav Bansal, Jatin Abhi, Danish Agastam, Tarun Sharda, Gagan Kundra, Lovish Shelly, Arun Gupta, B. R Kaushal, Tirlok Bhalla, Vikas Sood, Santosh Kumar, Sanjeev Kalra, Sanjay Mahindru, Rajinder Sharma were present.
