Ludhiana 8 May: Government of Punjab has allowed the industries outside the City Limits as well as in designated Industrial Focal Points to operate, most of the industries are being opened. S. Gurmeet Singh Kular President along with Sh. Rajeev Jain General Secretary FICO (Federation of Industrial & Commercial Organization) has requested Captain Amarinder Singh Honorable Chief Minister Punjab to allow the industry in Mixed Land Areas to operate otherwise the Medium & Large industry will also shut its operations. Industry assures that the Ministry of Home Affair’s Guidelines will be followed.

Ludhiana is known for its MSME Sector, majority of which operates from the Mixed Land Use Areas in Ludhiana like Janta Nagar, New Janta Nagar, Shimlapuri, New Shimlapuri, Dashmesh Nagar, Dhuri Line, Dholewal, Partap Nagar, Vishwakarma Colony, etc.; these industries in Mixed Land Use Areas are registered by the Udyog Aadhar Memorandums and have been working for last 60 years, majorly this industry falls under the Tiny & Micro Segment which operates on the limited number of staff. These small units are the suppliers of the mandatory products to medium & large units if small don’t run, then running of large units is also difficult.

The Government of Punjab started a Program called “Ghar Ghar Rozgar” which has Now become Ghar Ghar Be-rozgaar”. So, we request the Chief Minister Punjab to allow the industry in Mixed Land Use Areas, otherwise the Medium & Large industry will also shut its operations.
