LUDHIANA, MARCH 28 (CNI): Ghar-Ghar Rozgar, one of the ambitious schemes of Punjab Government has been providing the opportunity to the youths by fulfilling their dreams in getting the jobs according to their skills. As the program has already provided jobs to 1, 61, 522 youths by organizing job fairs throughout the state, government’s own centers are also determined to ensure employment to its trainees.

As many as 16 youths who had undergone training for various courses at Multi Skill Development Centre (MSDC) Gill road, selected by renowned industrial units.

MSDC’s head Swati Thakur and Instructor Jatinder Pal Singh informed that out of 20 trainees of Fitter Mechanical Assembly course at the center, 16 have been appointed by well-known industrialist units including Bajaj Sons Limited Focal Point, JP Cycles, and Bhagwan Sons and remaining four trainees are going to set up their own units.

They told that this batch was started in December 2017 and the youths completed their course this month. They revealed that the selected youths would get a minimum monthly salary of Rs 8000 during the two-month probation period and later, they would get hike along with ESI and EPF facilities.

They claimed that more than 50 percent youths who were trained in various courses at the centre which is functioning since March 2017, had already got employment and receiving good salaries.

They also disclosed that six short-term courses are being offered at the free of cost in MSDC along with uniform, training, the practical and nominal fee is being taken for three courses. The interested candidates should have been passed 10th and 12th.
