INCOME TAX REBATE FOR THOSE CONTRIBUTING IN PUNJAB CHIEF MINISTER RELIEF FUND

Deputy Commissioner Mr Pradeep Kumar Agrawal has appealed to the residents of district Ludhiana to contribute maximum in Punjab Chief Minister Relief Fund and stated that all donors would be eligible for income tax rebate as per the section 80G of the Income Tax Act 1961.

Mr Agrawal informed that any information regarding this can be taken through the helpline numbers set up by the Punjab government. He informed that the residents can contact Under Secretary (General) at 0172-2742766, Superintendent (General Section) at 0172-2742546 or the office of Chief Minister Punjab.

The Deputy Commissioner informed that after the flood-like situation arising due to heavy rainfall, a large number of people are showing interest for contributing to the Punjab Chief Minister Relief Fund. He said that some persons are even coming directly to the Deputy Commissioner Ludhiana office to hand over the relief amount.

Mr Pradeep Kumar Agrawal informed that if any person wants to contribute in Punjab Chief Minister Relief Fund, he/she can get the amount transferred directly through RTGS/Cheque/bank draft in bank account number 001934001000589 of Punjab State Cooperative Bank. The IFSC code of this bank is UTIB0PSCB01. In this regard, a help desk has also been set up in District Administrative Complex, Ludhiana and Assistant Commissioner (General) Mrs Poonam Preet Kaur has been appointed as its Nodal Officer.
