Ishmeet Singh Music Institute celebrated Fathers’ Day on 16th June, 2019. In the beginning in his welcome speech Dr. Charan Kamal Singh, Director, ISMI said that father is a role model for his children and an essential support who is always there to take care of them. He stated that in this digitised era where everyone is busy with their cell phones, the students of ISMI are being groomed to depict the bond that a father and his child share through their musical performances, as music is something that brings all of us a little closer.
The event began with singing performances by Mandeep, Varandeep, Deepti, Navdish, Darshan, Swastik, Akshit and Manubir who sang heartfelt songs on the occasion. It was followed by a Hip Hop dance performance by Rimon and Shivek, followed by a contemporary dance By Gurkirat and a Bollywood dance performance by the little gems of ISMI. There were also violin and drums performances by students of instrumental department Bhoomika, Gautam and Bandesh.
Prof. Gurbhajan Gill, renowned poet, was the Chief Guest of the function. He appreciated the initiative and pain taken by Ishmeet Singh Music Institute, to transform the young talent of its students into professional singers.
Mrs. Ashima Sethi, Mrs. Pride of Nation India 2018, runner up and Mrs. Raman Bhardwaj, Principal, DPS Kids were the special guests on the occasion. Mrs. Ashima said that she is feeling overwhelmed with the performances she has witnessed today whereas Mrs. Raman said that the amount of talent Ishmeet institute is producing is emmaculate.
After seeing the performances of students of ISMI, parents were very impressed and one of them said that Ishmeet Singh Music Institute is playing a highly sophisticate role in preserving the cultural values among the children by giving such a wonderful platform with all the state of the art facilities under one roof. Another parent addressed the audience and said that this institute is like a light at the end of the tunnel. These days when everyone is so busy with their lives, this institute offers something that can help relieve the stress on people’s minds. The event concluded with a powerful bhangra performance by students of the institute and a vote of thanks by Devinder Kaur Saini, Dean, Ishmeet Singh Music Institute.
