Janmashtami was celebrated on Wednesday at Childhood Kindergarten, Punjab Mata Nagar, Ludhiana. The tiny tots enacted childhood scenes of Lord Krishna, while teachers, along with kids, sang aarti and bhajans. Also, the festival’s importance was explained to the students.
Cute and naughty Kanhas and elegant and beautiful radhas came down to school to celebrate the festival of Janmashtami today. Playing flute, having a bowl of butter and sharing laughter with friends, the fun clad event consisted of several entertaining competitions and games which apparently showered innumerable blessings over kids who were beautifully dressed in Lord Krishna’s and Radha’s attire. Apart from this, balancing a pot on head and a few other challenging contests were also held today. There were some prizes for the students which included student with the best smile, student with the best traditional jewellery, best dress, and best hair style.
The most interesting show of the day was Nat-Khat Kanha where teachers had to choose the naughtiest and the most active child who can depict the character of Lord Krishna. Gunbeer, Devyansh, Harman and Karman earned the title of Naughty Kanhas at the end whereas Aaradhna Sahu became the Best Radha of the day. Other radhas worth the crown were Saanvi, Khwaish and Sartaj . It appeared as if Childhood Kindergarten school turned into Gokul for a short while where Lord Krishna had spent his childhood.
