Jalandhar : Kicking off the week-long corporate social responsibility week under AKM Charitable trust by the MBD Group, as a part of their Founders’ day celebrations on July 10 th, bags were distributed among the students of NCLP special school of Aman Nagar on Monday. MBD group is all set to Celebrate 73 rd birthday of its founder Shri Ashok Kumar Malhotra on July 10 th and eighth founders day of whole group.
The event started with the address by Executive director of group Balwant Sharma. He dilguvled more details about MBD group CSR week and how strong foundation of group was laid by Shri Ashok Kumar Malhotra. About 100 students and their staff attended the event along with the staff of school and MBD Group. The children were enlightened about founder Shri Ashok Kumar Malhotra and his achievements and success by Executive Director MBD Group Balwant Sharma. After the enlightening talk, the children were told about My Best Deed Mate Band which was followed by the distribution of the bags.
Chairperson of Group Satish Bala Malhotra said, “With belief of Moving beyond dreams we have risen by the grace of god blessings of out founder Shri Ashok Kumar Malhotra. Jalandhar has given us so much and now it is time that we do the same for our city with activities for society with Ashok Kumar Malhotra Charitable trust. Through our csr activities we have been able to do some and look forward to doing much more.It is our endeavour to ensure that we work on the vision of Shri Ashok Kumar Malhotra. He has given us the values of ethic and hard work and we walk on the path that was lit by his vision.”
MBD group Managing Director, Monica Malhotra Kandhari said, “We believe in motivation, belief and determination and these things have been instilled in us and we hope to see the same in those who work for us and in ourselves as well. With blessings of our father Shri Ashok Kumar Malhotra this is a legacy that we will always work hard to maintain and make better.” She further added Ashok Kumar Malhotra Charitable trust has done lot for society and will be doing lot more for people who really need help.
Joint Managing Director of MBD group Sonica Malhotra Kandhari said, “Jalandhar is our home town and we have made this humble attempt of CSR activity to give back to society. We have chosen to start with Jalandhar because this is the place from where we started and where are roots are. MBD Group is observing MBD CSR week at all our Malls, hotels, MBD Books and other businesses.”
The CSR activities will be held in Delhi where audio aids will be distributed and cooking class and voice and accent training will be held for the childrenof the associated NGO. Even the CSR activity is planned for Ludhiana. The final celebrations will be held at Noida in a grand manner.
