NEET-UG 2018 result was declared on Monday for admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS and BUMS courses. All Medical colleges, except JIMPER and AIIMS, both private and government grant admissions on the basis of this central examination conducted by CBSE.
The cut-off for 50-percentile eligibility dropped to 119 marks for the general category, while for OBC/SC/ST categories it was 96 this year.
Edusquare students continued to dominate in the city with 4 students from the institute scoring above 600 marks in NEET 2018.
After the anxiety of the results, the focus will now shift on Counselling and state ranks which will be declared by respective state universities. (BFUHS in case of Punjab).
All India Counselling in Govt Colleges and Deemed Universities are expected to start from 12th June, although the exact dates are yet to be confirmed. This counseling will be done by MCC.

Nishima Dhand – 860 Rank
Nishima Dhand, 18 years old of Spring Dale Public School, BRS Nagar secured AIR Rank 860 in NEET exam. Dreaming of becoming a neurosurgeon has not yet decided where she will pursue her studies. Though she started preparing for the same from class X onwards by setting up short-term goals. Nishima said, ‘ I have never burden myself for studies and covered within random hours .’ She gives credit to parents Mr daljeet and Ms. Reema Dhand and her teachers.
