D announced a range of Android smartphones at the Mobile World Congress event back in February this year. The smartphones included – Nokia 5 and 3. However, Nokia lovers were not ‘so’ excited about these smartphones, rather were more enthusiastic about the refreshed version of the old Nokia 3310. This not-so-smartphone device was also showcased alongside the smartphones. Ever since then, the Nokia fans have been eagerly waiting to get the device in hand. The wait is almost over, as the Nokia 3310 (2017) is set to launch globally on April 28.

A few speculations earlier suggested that Nokia 3310 (2017) will be officially launched by the end of this month, i.e – April, while Android smartphones like Nokia 6, 5 and 3 will be released sometime around next month. Seems like the rumours are coming true, as several media report tips that Nokia 3310 (2017) is coming and will be launched on April 28. So if you have been waiting for the phone, hold on there, just another 4 days to go.

With Nokia 3310, the Finnish company is touted to bring nostalgia back. Starting from the snake game to the not-so-smart features, Nokia 3310 (2017) has it all. Although not as smartphone as present days phones, Nokia 3310 still is among the most awaited phones ever. The device is already up for pre-orders in Germany and Austria. However, as the rumours are proving to be true, new speculations about the feature phone shows that the device will probably hit the Indian shores by the month of June. This isn’t confirmed yet.

The phone on pre-order was first spotted and reported by NokiaPowerUser. The report further states that the Nokia 3310 (2017) will be made available in both Germany and Austria on April 28. In the report, NokiaPowerUser mentions, “What makes these listings appear genuine is the fact that they have article numbers for Nokia 3310 models valid across other retailers.” This makes it all the more evident that Nokia 3310 is surely coming on April 28, however, neither Nokia, nor HDM global official have highlighted anything on the Nokia 3310 (2017) global release.

The pre-order listing further shows that alongside being available in Germany and Austria, the company is planning to release the device in other markets as well. As per the pricing details are concerned, Nokia 3310 (2017) was tipped to launch with a price tag of EUR 49, which comes roughly around Rs 3,400. However, the pre-order listing shows a different story altogether and suggests that the device will be of a little higher price than recommended which will be around EUR 56. That being the case, in India the device will cost around Rs 3,916.

In terms of specifications, the Nokia 3310 (2017) feature phone will come with a 2.4′ color display, a 2MP rear camera and a microSD slot. The device will come packed with a removable 1200mAh battery, which has the ability to offer 22 hours of talk time and a colossal 30 days of standby time. The battery life is said to be almost 10 times more than the original one. Furthermore, the Nokia 3310 (2017) unlike its older version, features a convenient microUSB port for charging.
