No matter where you are in life, inspire and empower the women around you. With this notion in mind, PCTE female wing has launched women cell titled ‘We-the empowered’. This has been introduced in order to keep environment safe, secure and joyous for both boys and girls.

The female faculties and girl students have joined their hands in this concern. In their first meeting today, many students shared their concerns in order to help each other and discussed various solutions for the problems.

Kawinder Kalsi, Assistant Professor and one of the senior female employees shared, “In order to give wings to the imaginations of females in campus, we have taken this initiative. The main objective is to change the mindset of youth and make the ambience respectful. Various girl students shared their real life experiences where they were physically teased and were helpless at the point. So, we have made this cell in order to counsel such girls and provide them healthy solutions to their problems.”

PCTE faculty members Heena Kalra, Richa Marjara, Praveen Kaur, Deepshika Patil and Sneha Joshi who are part of this wing organised it with full zeal.

Dr. KNS Kang, Director General, PCTE Group of Institutes said, “This is a very good initiative by the female staff of PCTE. Actually it is the need of hour in order to make females feel safe in the country. I am sure that with this cell, the female faculty and students would come forward with various more initiatives that will take care of women in and outside campus and it will surely help in changing the mindset of youth.”
