SCD Government College, Ludhiana organised the second round of its 100th Prize Distribution Function on 28th August, 2021 in the Sahir Auditorium. The function began with the college Shabad. Dean, Examinations, Prof. Suman Lata informed that in view of the prevailing pandemic, Prize Distribution has been organised in two rounds.
Principal, Dr. Gurpreet Kaur gave away Merit Certificates for achievements in NCC, Sports and Cultural activities like fine arts, heritage items, literary, creative, dance, folk dance, folk music, etc.
Prof. Dr. Ashwani Bhalla, Dean, Academic Affairs conducted the stage.
Students who contributed in making the Marketing Fest, a huge success were also honoured with trophies. They included Pankaj Dawar and Simerpreet Singh, the Senior Advisors of the Fest and those students who had organised the event and those who were winners of various prizes in the Fest : Cobra Gang; Grab the Fab: Virasat e Punjab; Fun Kendra Khao Bali; The Underdogs and Aashirwad NGO.
The principal congratulated the students for their achievements and said that she herself was a student here and that all who are associated with this college are blessed. She also encouraged them to always think about how they can contribute to society and make their alma mater proud.
The function was a great success due to the untiring efforts of the Examination Branch under Prof. Suman Lata and her team – Prof Sumeet, Prof Nishi, Prof. Nitin and Prof. Monika.
