“No magic potions…… No fairy dust……. No one to do it for you …….. Just one determined foot in front of the other”
The chinking of Rubik’s Cubes twisting in unison filled the realm of BCM Arya Model Senior Secondary School, Shastri Nagar on 4 December 2022 that hosted the Rubik’s Cube Competition under the patronage of World Cube Association ( WCA) wherein around 100 ‘Speed Cubers’ from several schools participated with great zeal and enthusiasm.
The speed cubers participated in five events of cubing viz 3x3x3, 2x2x2, 4x4x4, 3x3x3 (one-handed) and Pyraminx.
Playing with Rubik Cube paid rich dividends to participants in the form of mental and emotional benefits by applying a number of algorithms and several techniques to solve it. It took a mixture of skill and determination for students to solve the cube on their own. The overall competition was fun whither ‘twisty puzzles’ unlocked the potential of speed cubers concentration, mind and body coordination . Sharpness and quick reflex enhanced their problem solving skills and boosted their confidence.
Mrs. Anuja Kaushal, Principal, congratulated the winners and echoed her sentiments saying, “Playing with Rubik Cube has become the order of the day that enhances reflection, ease class discussions and find solutions. These are the best stress busters not only for the children but also for the adults”
The competitive zeal, spirited endeavours and indomitable will power was found truly alive in the students who brought laurels in the form of medals and trophies.
