The PG Department of Mathematics of SCD Govt. College continues to prove its mettle since 1951 by achieving outstanding results every year and bagging top university positions. In M.Sc-IIIrd Semester of P.U. Examination Kritika stood 1st in the University with 457/500 marks; Mahima stood 7th in the university with 440/500 marks and Harleen Kaur stood 9th in the University with 429/500 marks. In previous two semesters also Kritika had bagged 1st and 8th positions in university respectively. She said that with hard work and dedication, constant support of her parents and guidance of her teachers, she has been able to stand 1st this time in the university in 3rd semester. On this achievement, Prof. kamal Kishore, the head of Department of Mathematics congratulated and inspired the students to do more hard work.
The Principal Dr. Dharam Singh Sandhu also congratulated the students, their parents and the teachers of the Mathematics Department for their hard work, commitment and single minded pursuit of knowledge. He said that the entire college is proud of its Maths teachers and students because they have made it a tradition of clinching top positions.
