- NEW TEAM TO WORK FOR DEVELOPMENT OF CITY WITH DEDICATION-MP RAVNEET SINGH BITTU
LUDHIANA, March 26 (CNI)-Member of Parliament (MP) Ravneet Singh Bittu on Monday said that seniority, experience, family background and personal life were the criteria behind the selection of Mayor, senior deputy mayor and deputy mayor of Ludhiana Municipal Corporation.
In a statement, MP said that Congress party has always given priority to merit in the selection of persons on the higher posts.
He revealed that Mayor Balkar Singh Sandhu is a simple and hardworking worker of the party and Senior Deputy Mayor belongs to martyrs’ family. He stated that deputy mayor Sarbjeet Kaur who belongs to SC community has been elected on the basis of seniority.
He claimed that new team would put Ludhiana back on development track and would meet the expectations of city residents.
