Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management organised a Meditation session under the guidance of Prof Meenu Goyal and Prof Jai Parkash, NSS Program coordinators for the students of the college to help them relieve stress and improve their concentration skills. The purpose of the event was to develop self-confidence and encourage students to lead a stress-free life while preparing for their final examinations, Prof Meenu Goyal, Faculty incharge from college said. She said Sh. Anil Bharti and Smt. Leena Bharti, Meditation Masters from Swami Vivekanand Meditation Pyramid, Ludhiana directly interacted with the students and faculty of the college and taught them ways of concentration. Dr Sushil Kumar, Director Education and Dr. R L Behl, Principal were present at the event, she said. Sh. Anil Bharti and Smt. Leena Bharti discussed the benefits of Meditation with the students and said Meditation gives A calm mind, Good concentration, Better clarity, Improved communication, Relaxation and rejuvenation of the mind and body. Prof Jai Parkash said with regular practice of meditation anxiety decreases, emotional stability improves, creativity and happiness increases, intuition develops, and problems of life become smaller. Dr R L Behl said its very painful to get news about students committing suicide due to stress. Following this, the college has took this unique initiative to conduct regularly meditation sessions in the college for the students and faculty members. He acknowledged meditation as the best way to de-stress the students.
