STUDENTS OF SCHOOLS & AANGANWARI CENTRES EDUCATED ABOUT GOOD HABITS

Under the Mission Tandrust Punjab being started by the Punjab government, several camps are being organised to educate the students of schools and aanganwari centres about good habits. For this purpose, block wise teams have been formed under the supervision of Ayurvedic Medical Officers, who are organising camps in different parts of Ludhiana district.

While providing information, District Immunisation Officer Dr Jasbir Singh stated that the Health Department is making sincere efforts for making Mission Tandrust Punjab successful. He said that regular checks are being made to check adulteration of food products in the district and to ensure that only good quality food products are being sold.

Dr Jasbir Singh further informed that camps are also being organised for students of schools and aanganwari centres, where they are educated about following good habits, such as washing hands properly, how to eat food, how to keep our surroundings clean etc. He said that two teams led by Ayurvedic Medical Officers have been formed in each block of the district and till date, these teams have organised more than 1187 camps and health talks.

District Immunisation Officer Dr Jasbir Singh informed that these camps would continue in coming days as well. He said that during the camps, the children are educated about the ways in which they can save themselves from diseases, proper use of albendazol tablets, and ways to save themselves from diseases during change of weather etc. He said that by organising 1187 camps, medical checkup of 45883 students have been carried out. Dr Arundeep Kaur was also present on the occasion.
