The two-time World Cup winner, Indian cricket team, will be the last side to play their first game in the ongoing ICC World Cup 2019 edition. The Virat Kohli-led India will play their opening clash versus South Africa on June 5 at The Rose Bowl, Southampton on June 5 (Wednesday). As the tournament commenced on May 30, Team India have quite a lot of time to get into the grooves. As a result, members of the national side had a fun session of paintball ahead of their opening clash in the showpiece event.

India’s pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah shared the picture from his official Twitter handle wherein the likes of skipper Kohli, KL Rahul, Shikhar Dhawan, Ravindra Jadeja, Rohit Sharma, Kuldeep Yadav, etc are seen posing after the paintball session.

Team India began their World Cup preparations on the wrong note. They went down to New Zealand by 6 wickets in their first warm-up encounter but made up for it with a thumping 95-run over Bangladesh in their last warm-up clash. While Dhoni and Rahul scored centuries, respectively, the team management will be concerned with the lack of runs from openers, Dhawan and Rohit.

The 1983 and 2011 World Cup winners will bank on skipper Kohli’s intensity, MS Dhoni’s street-smartness and experience whereas handy contributions from Hardik Pandya, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep, and Bumrah to live upto their favourites tag in the 10-nation tournament.

Talking about the current World Cup edition, the tournament commenced with England beating South Africa by 104 runs in the opener at London. In the second match, Pakistan were up against West Indies. In what was expected to be a close affair with two unpredictable sides in question, the Windies thrashed Pakistan by 7 wickets after dismissing them for 105 in 21.4 overs at Trent Bridge, Nottingham.
