Queen’s XI Cricket Tournament Season 2 Comes To An Exciting Close

Queen’s XI cricket tournament Season 2 came to an exciting end, with enthusiasm of Players and spectators being a feat to witness.

Special guests included- Chief Guest Shri Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga Ji (National Spokesperson-BJP), Shri Vinay Chaudhari (Yuva Spokesperson-BJP) and Shri Ankit Satija.

COWE, PHD Chambers of Commerce in association with North Delhi Magistrate’s Office and supported by KGS Advisors, KEI Industries and SAIL organised season 2 at DTU Sports Complex after a successful season 1 of Queens XI in 2017 on a much larger scale than its predecessor. This year saw some favorite teams with addition of some new and talented entries. We believe that through leadership and entrepreneurship, women can become the torch bearers of woman power.

The women behind QueensXI are passionate and women-oriented minds who vision a better tomorrow for women in sports – Mrs. Archana Gupta, Director KEI Industries Ltd and Tripti Shinghal, CEO – KGS advisors and Founding President – COWE India- Delhi and supported by Ms Ira Singhal SDM North Delhi who joined hands together to support a common cause of #womeninsports.

In the super excited final match between Bangladesh and Rajasthan, Bangladesh gave 59 runs target to Rajasthan. Rajasthan chasing the target were all out on 58 runs. Bangladesh won the match by 1 run. Bangladesh was awarded Rupees One Lakh cheque and Championship Trophy. Rajasthan won the cheque of Rupees Fifty Thousand.

The closing ceremony was attended by Chief Guest Shri Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga ji (Spokesperson – BJP) , in his speech he said- to all those volunteers who work hard all night for such tournaments I praise them and I also congrats to the winning team Bangladesh and wishes to the Rajasthan team. They play for our country and make our country proud.

Vinay Chaudhari shouted the slogan Bharat Mata ki Jai and “he felt obliged to be a part of this initiative and said that the teams which played today shall be the ones who will bring pride to the country by wining at international level”

Speaking on the occasion Tripti Shinghal, Founder QueensXI, CEO – KGS advisors and Founding President – COWE India- Delhi, Chairperson – PHD Women Entreprenuership committee highlighted “ there is the need for women empowerment in sports. Why not bring entrepreneurship in sports? We will curate more project in sports to create entrepreneurs in sports in coming future”.

Archana Gupta founder of QueensXI said “she shall ensure that these women cricket tournament will happen every year”.
