It is a proud moment for Punjab Region as Ludhiana Girl Reetika Madaan does City Proud by being chosen as the Founding Curator for the Ludhiana Hub in India of the World Economic Forum’s prestigious Global Shapers Community.

The Global Shapers Community consists of 400 plus hubs spread all over the world with the Global Hub located at the head office in Geneva, Switzerland. It is a network of hubs led by young people who are unique in their potential, accomplishments and drive to make a contribution to their respective local communities.

Given her long-standing involvement and leadership in the local government projects of Punjab and Haryana , She is all set to curate a powerful community of young visionaries, determined to maximize the potential of Ludhiana as a multicultural and thrilling city of Punjab.

Reetika was the first woman from Punjab to be honoured as SHEROES Champion. SHEROES is the world’s first and largest women-only social network, exclusively designed around the needs, goals and aspirations of women Internet users. She is also the convener of SHEROES Punjab Community.

Ludhiana Hub Founding Curator Reetika Madaan has won numerous awards across India for her marketing mantras and is a pioneer in bringing global educational brands and world renowned communities to Ludhiana, including TED ED, TEDx, Sheroes for Punjab, LeanIn Foundation, LinkedInLocal and more. Reetika is passionate about education and in nurturing and developing youth to becoming the future leaders of tomorrow.

As India’s learning outcomes remain stubbornly low, She is currently working on Collaborations and building up momentum for a new platform that will help change the current education paradigm in the country. The key priority is that education policy must seek to address that schooling isn’t just an end for students, but a ladder to opportunity.
