BCM Arya Model Sr. Sec. School, Shastri Nagar, Ludhiana was all soaked in emotions and affection as it celebrated Grandparents Day on 30th November, 2022. About 300 Grandparents of Nursery students attended the celebration. The function started with lamp lighting ceremony followed by welcome address by Mrs. Anuja Kaushal, School Principal and an emotional audio-visual presentation by the Headmistress.
Dr. Paramjit Kaur, the Director of the Arya Samaj group of schools graced the occasion as Guest of honour with her benign presence.
The curtain was raised with an overwhelming presentation by the tiny-tots of Nursery, reflecting their gratitude for the unconditional love for grandparents. The mellifluous singing by the student choir lifted the spirit of celebration.
The grandparents enthusiastically participated in various events like Ramp Walk, Creative Arts and Cook without fire. The paragon of the entire event was to see grandparents walking on the ramp with grace and conveyed beautiful messages carrying placards. The culinary and creative art competitions were further blend of creativity and innovation where grandparents showcased their mind-blogging talent. Selfie corner and one-minute games were rollicked by all of them. Thereafter, the grandparents visited the classrooms and had some spell binding moments with their grandchildren.
Grandparents’ day was a memorable one for the grandparents, who left with pleasant memories, loads of appreciation and heaps of blessings.
The Principal, Ms. Anuja Kaushal, emphasised that grandparents are a family’s greatest treasure, the founder of a loving legacy, the greatest story tellers, and the keepers of tradition. She also thanked the grandparents for their valuable presence.
