FLOOD CONTROL ROOM ESTABLISHED AT DISTRICT AND SUBDIVISION LEVELS
Ludhiana, July 15 (000)-Ahead of monsoon season, the district administration had completed the flood control arrangements. Flood control rooms have been established at district and sub-division levels as well.
While releasing the list and contact numbers of flood control rooms, Deputy Commissioner Mr Pardeep Kumar Agrawal said that district-level flood control room has been established at his office, its number is 0161-2433100. Similarly contact number of flood control room established at office of Samrala is 01628-262354, Khanna is 01628-226091, Payal is 01628-276892, Raikot is 01624-264350, Jagraon is 01624-223226, 240223, Ludhiana East is 01612400150, Ludhiana West is 01612412555, Executive Engineer (XEN) Drainage is 0161-2520232, Health is 01612444193, Ludhiana Police is 01612414932-33, 9815800251, 7837018500, Secretary RTA is 9872721309, Army is 8558940825 and Food & Civil Supply is 9815592855.
Mr Agrawal instructed to concerned officials that Officials who have been assigned flood control duties at any level could not leave the station without prior sanction. SDMs and XEN Drainage will personally monitor the functioning of flood control rooms so that people can make easy contact with authorities in the emergency situation. He appealed people to share only confirmed information, he added.
