The English Department of Khalsa College fro Women, Civil Lines, Ludhiana organised an Inspirational Speech Competition in the college auditorium. The students from various streams showcased their oratory skills by portraying eminent personalities from Arts, Politics, Entertainment and Media. Ms. Ritu Ahuja, Head Department of Maths and Dr. Aditi Satija,Head Department of Psychology and Ms. Pooja Chatley, Head Department of BBA were the judges of the event. In all 29 students participated in the competition and exhibited their talent in public speaking by enacting personalities like J.K Rowling, Maya Angleou, Sarojini Naidu, Mother Teresa, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, Nelson Mandela and many others. Amrita BA-III, was accorded first prize, Avantika BA-III stood second, Arpuneet BA-III and Sonal B.Com-I took away the thrid prize, Jasleen BBA-I stood fourth. The appreciation awards were given to Anamika BA-II, Janvi BCA-I, Gursimran BA-II and Charu Jain BA-I.
The Principal Dr. Mukti Gill applauded the winners and appreciated the efforts of the staff of English Department.
