There has been much speculation and buzz about Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone’s supposed wedding. Though the couple prefers not to answer questions about their relationship to the public, their PDA and quotes about each other are enough to clear the air.
Recently, there has been a flurry of excitement, as Deepika was spotted doing some jewellery shopping with her mother and sister. Not just this, according to whispers, Ranveer and Deepika’s parents have shortlisted dates for their wedding as well.
Is this the case, though? In an interview to BollywoodLife, Ranveer said, “It is the function of speculation – to exist. Nothing is official till it is made official and I am not a seer. I cannot say this will happen on this date in the future. Right now we are both extremely busy working. Besides, she is also recuperating from back problems. So we are quite occupied and distracted. So, if there is any announcement in the future, you will be hearing me shouting from the rooftops.”
For the first time, Ranveer admitted that he and Deepika are a couple. In an interview to India Today, he had confessed that marriage was indeed on his mind.
Deepika and Ranveer’s love story started on the sets of Goliyon Ke Rasleela, Ram Leela in 2013. Talking about her equation with Ranveer, Deepika had once said, “When we’re with each other, we don’t need anything or anyone else. We’re comfortable in each other’s presence. Sometimes it’s intelligent conversation, sometimes just silence, sometimes there’s a childlike innocence. We keep each other grounded. We are good in that sense.”
The couple has starred in three films together, Ram Leela, Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat.
