Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management, Ludhiana NSS Unit has decided to celebrate this festival of lights by spreading happiness to the needy and underprivileged section of the society. A two day Exhibition-Cum-Sale stall of Diwali handicrafts of various products like Candles, Diyas, Floating Candles, Greeting Cards, Best Out of Waste Materials made by college students, has been set up in college for 16th October 2017 under the guidance of Prof Meenu Goyal, Prof Jai Parkash the College NSS Programme Officers by NSS Core team Jashan Grewal, Abheeti Kochar, Himanshu Garg, Simran, Chahat Kapoor, Ishpreet Kaur. The handicrafts were decorated by the children from three NGO’s namely “Ek Prayas”, “Ek Jot Viklang Bachon Ka School” and Guru Jyoti Charitable Society for Handicapped Children School”. The stalls were well managed by the NSS volunteers and Mettle Team Coordinators. This time total three stalls were there. The students and teachers gave a great response to the stalls. It was very encouraging for the NGO’s participating in the exhibition cum sale. Prof Meenu Goyal said the First Day concluded happily for stalls as members were able to sell most of their products and noticed great response from the students, faculty and staff. Brigadier H S Bhandal, Director Education and Dr R L Behl, Principal of the College appreciated the efforts of NSS Volunteers and college students who came forward to help the needy section of the society for the welfare of the specially-abled children.
