Deputy commissioner Mr. Pardeep Kumar Agrawal and Police Officials on Saturday said that situation is totally under control in district Ludhiana and Civil and Police administration was duty-bound to maintain peace and amity in the district. DC thanked the people, police, civil officials and others for giving full cooperation to maintain peace and law and order in district during last two days.
He called upon the people to not get panicky and not get swayed by the rumours in this hour of crisis. He also warned the rumor mongers that any sort of attempt to mislead the people and create tension in the society would be dealt with a heavy hand. He asked the people to contact the officers of police and civil administration for any sort of query.
He said that it was the duty of the civil and police administration to safeguard the life and property of people and no stone would be left unturned for this cause. He said that till now situation was totally under control in the district adding that special vigil was being kept on every vehicle entering the district. He said that entry points of the district have been completely sealed and the entire district has been divided into special zones for security purposes.
