Madhuri Dixit is indeed on cloud 9. Not only has she collaborated with Priyanka Chopra and a Hollywood studio for a series based on her life , she is now all set to don the producer’s hat for a Marathi film that is slated to release in mid-2018. The movie is yet to be titled and is expected to be a family entertainer penned by screenwriter Yogesh Vinayak Joshi, who has written the scripts of Mumbai Meri Jaan and Tendulkar Out, and helmed by Swapnaneel Jayakar, who is popular for the on-air TV romantic comedy, Chuk Bhul Dyavi Ghyavi.  Reports indicate that the film is likely to go on floors in Mumbai by the end of the year and will have the 50-year-old beautiful actress give the muhurat shot.

Needless to say, the actress is extremely excited to begin work on her new production. In an interview with Pune Mirror, Madhuri said, “Over the years, the Marathi film industry has evolved a lot. Since it’s a family entertainer, we have an equally warm team onboard. I’m looking forward to the shoot.” She is quite fond of Marathi movies, especially the ones that have been a trailblazer of sorts in changing the face of Marathi cinema in recent years. Her favourites include, two National Award-winning Marathi films, Ravi Jadhav’s 2010 drama Natarang and Rajiv Patil’s Jogwa.

Her film will be directed under an online platform titled RnM Moving Pictures. Apart from Marathi films, Madhuri is also planning to roll out Hindi films under the banner.
