Film goers now have become very choosey about what to watch and what not to opt for. While earlier it was easy to attract the audience through masala filled cinema, now the content has become the crux. Since then, the makers are also making huge efforts to find a nice script which will engage the audience till the end. Raj Kumar Gupta is coming up with one such film called ‘Raid’. In this film, Ajay Devgn will be seen playing a no-nonsene income tax officer. Now according to the reports in Mumbai Mirror, it is his Baadshaho co-star Ileana D’cruz who will romance him in Raid too!
Ajay Devgn and Ileana’s pair got tremendous response, especially after the song ‘Rashke Qamar’ from Baadshaho hit the internet. Their on-screen chemistry looks totally natural and obviously, the ‘Raid’ makers could not help but cast her opposite Ajay as the female lead. The reports suggest that she will have a crucial role in this film too. Also, Ileana is expected to sign the dotted line very soon.
The film will be written by Ritesh Shah who earlier penned down the award winners like ‘Pink’ and ‘Airlift’. The producer of Raid, Abhishek Pathak was quoted saying that he is excited to make film like Raid which is a hard core content driven film. He earlier also produced Akshay Kumar’s CBI raid based film, ‘Special Chabbis’. This film too is based on real events which was one of the most high profile income tax Raids in India. The film is set against the backdrop of Uttar Pradesh in 80s. Stay tuned for more updates.
