Ludhiana : Jeevay Punjab, is an attempt to revitalise and rejuvenate Punjabi Folk arts, specially music and poetry. This is done by providing the artists the platform they deserve and a respectable income from their art. The goal is to build a troupe of musicians, which is self funding and governed.
Jeevay Punjab is held every month and has been going from April this year. This month’s event is the third in line and promises to be the best till date.
A majority of the songs are written and/or composed by the members of the team. And the performances are kept acoustic, in accordance with the spirit of folk music.
Bistro 226 helps in organising the event by providing the venue free of charge.
