The students of Bajaj College, Ludhiana, celebrated the World Senior Citizens’ Day on August 8th 2017. The students visited Swami Vivekananda Ashram, Model Town, and spent some memorable moments with the elderly residents. They encouraged the elders to share their tales of experience with them and played many interesting games to cheer them up. They also pledged that they will value and respect their parents when they grow old. They acknowledged the contribution and achievements senior citizens have made to the society and held a cake-cutting ceremony to mark the occasion. The students also took this opportunity to make the elders aware of their rights and privileges as esteemed members of our society. The principal of the college, Dr Shikha Dhall, lauded the gesture of the students and encouraged them to make such deeds a regular part of their life.
