Weeks ahead of Lok Sabha elections and a day after launching ” Main Bhi Chowkidar” campaign on Twitter , Prime Minister Narendra Modi today changed his personal Twitter account name to — Chowkidar Narendra Modi. Following Prime Minister, BJP president and other BJP leaders also changed their profile names to Chowkidar Amit Shah, Chowkidar Piyush Goyal etc
The campaign has been launched to counter the Congress President Rahul Gandhi’s ” chowkidar chor hai” jibe against the Prime Minister. The party has launched the campaign as part of its strategy to turn the tables as it did in 2014 by aggressively countering former Union Minister Mani Shankar Aiyar’s “chaiwalla” jibe.
Congress president has been recently attacking Narendra Modi for allegedly doing corruption in Rafale deal and his closeness with some businessmen
