Sh. Upkar Singh Ahuja, President, CICU welcomed the Companies for their participation in the Job fair to recruit the candidates. He told that more than 73 companies from the State of Punjab deputed their senior officials for conducting the interviews for recruitment of youths in different trades. More than 3800 candidates from various cities and villages visited the venue of Fair seeking placements. He further narrated that 1680Candidates comprising Welder, Fitter, turner, Computer Operator, machinist etc. has been recruited by the Companies.
Sh. Pankaj Sharma, General Secretary, CICU assured that those candidates who could not be given offer letters on the spot, their Resumes would be circulated to CICU Member Industries and such candidate will be called by the companies directly for placements. He also revealed that CICU will continue to work for generating employment opportunities for Punjabi youths as it will not only provide jobs to the unemployed youngsters, but will also improve their living standards, enhance the purchasing capacity, lead to local manpower in the Industries & will lead to improvement in productivity and quality.
The JOB FAIR was inaugurated by Hon’ble S. Charanjit Singh Channi Minister of Technical Education & Industrial Trailing Punjab, Sh. M.P Singh, I.A.S., Financial Comm. Taxation, Smt. Daljit Kaur Sidhu, Additional Director, Department of Technical Education & Industrial Training, Punjab.

Ltd, Falcon Garden & Tools, Aarti International, Kangaro Industries Limited, Dawn Motors Ltd, Avon Cycle, etc.
